Deputy President William Ruto’s friend Harun Aydin has been deported.
Harun Aydin was arrested over the weekend after he jetted back from Uganda where he was joined by Ruto allies in the controversial flight.
Ruto was blocked from flying to Uganda in what the State said he must make arrangements earlier and notify the office of the President.
Ruto allies protested the move by the government and upon arrival from Uganda, Harun Aydin was arrested on allegations of terrorism.
Senior Counsel Ahmenasir Abdullahi was barred from seeing him on Sunday for the second day and lamented what he called, “order from above”.
According to Ahmednasir, being denied to see Aydin was not a problem because he was to be produced in court Monday morning.
However, news coming to us this morning is that Harun Aydin was deported.
Breaking the news on Twitter, Ahmednasir said that Aydin was deported saying that the government could not sustain a criminal case of such nature.
