Breaking News,2021 champions league final match moved to Portugal
As we all know the 2020/2021 Uefa Champions League final was scheduled for May 29, 2021 in Instabul – Turkey.
The match will be between England’s biggest club Manchester City and Chelsea’s football team. Manchester city reached the final after beating French Football Paris Saint Germain 4-1.Chelsea also eliminated champions of the Champions League and Spanish champions Realmadrid football club 3-1.
Turkey as a country is among the countries listed by the UK to be on the ‘Red’ list. As a result of this list, many concerns have been raised as to how England fans will travel to Instabul to entertainment from their teams in the final match and return.
UEFA – the league’s governing body has decided to do its utmost to ensure that fans will attend the final match and return to the UK without being forced into Quarantine. UEFA, however, came up with plans to take the game to England or Portugal.
England responded very early by placing more attempts to improve the venue of the match but all was in vain. This is because the Football Association and authorities in the United Kingdom said it was very difficult to achieve the UK needed exemption in terms of arrangements.
The good news came out today as the Portuguese authorities and the Portuguese Football Federation responded positively by donating the venue for the final match. The venue will be at the Estadio do Dragao In Porto.
The reason why UEFA reached this decision is because Portugal as a country was not among the countries ‘listed in the red list’. UEFA also thanked and felt the gratitude of the Turkish Football Federation for its resilience and the efforts it has made to ensure that it selects successfully and organizes the final match in the city of Instabul.
The total number of fans who will be allowed to enter the Estadio do Dragao stadium has not been communicated but details about it will be released and will be announced in due course.
As previously planned by Uefa, only 600 fans of Manchester City and Chelsea will be allowed to travel to Portugal. Tickets are open, purchase of tickets will open on 24 May 2019.
The final match referee will be Antonio Miguel Matheu Lahoz and the same referee has been selected to officiate the UEFA EURO 2020 match.
