Over the last few days, fire incidents in Kenyan schools have been on the rise with many schools closing down as a result. A few days ago over 50 students were badly injured after their Dormitory caught fire at Buruburu girls.
Since then, several other schools have been closed down as a result of the fires. The likes of Kakamega Boys, Sunrise Highschool, and many others have all reported fire incidents recently.
The fire incidents have forced the government to shut to introduce the midterm break from 19th November to 24th November.
The break is expected to give students a chance to re-energize before they can come back to finish the third term.
Earlier today Garissa University students were left in tears after witnessing one of their buildings go up in flames. The incident was reported on Sunday morning. It’s still unclear whether there are any casualties.
