Change sometimes hurts and it’s hard to be accepted but in the end, it turns out to be the best thing that ever happened.
In Africa, and especially in Kenya, we are struggling with accepting the new education system, the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC.)
This is because it slightly differs from the 8.4.4 system which was more of theory than practical as the CBC.
Many have complained of how expensive the system is demanding that we should stick to the former education system.
Among them were Nelson Havi and lawyer Ajwang’s. This has led to filing of cases against the CBC that awaits it’s hearing and verdict. Even as we await that ruling, the question remains, does our environment and circumstances allow for the implementation of CBC?
