Class six pupil killed by her form two lover as a man found dead in a lodging

Migori police are holding a form two student in custody over the murder of his girlfriend on Wednesday dawn following a relationship disagreement.

 

 

The student at Nyango Mixed Secondary School in Suna West sub-county is being held at Piny Oyie police station as police have launched investigations over the murder of his girlfriend.

 

 

Kirengo assistant chief Fred Opiyo told the Star over the phone on Wednesday that the suspect was celebrating his parents for building for him a bacherlor’s hut called Simba locally when the incident happened.

 

“The deceased is a class six girl aged 15 years old and a student at a local private primary school and we suspect might have spent the night at the deceased’s house when the incident happened,” Opiyo said.

 

He said the body of the girl was found about hundred meters from the deceased’s home with a deep cut on the head after they were alerted by villagers.

 

 

“The suspect tried to ran away to his aunt’s homestead where he was arrested by the family who brought him to the police station,” Opiyo said.

 

 

Villagers said they were shocked by the death especially as schools in the area had re-opened.

The body of the deceased was taken to Migori Referral Hospital mortuary awaiting post-mortem examinations as police are expected to charge the minor before a court of law.

 

 

Elsewhere, A man has died inside a hotel room after using viagra in Muranga County on Wednesday.According to a police report, Frederick, Opiyo age 50, reportedly died moments after exiting the bathroom.

 

At the time, he was in the company of 35-year-old Mary Mwende, who joined him in the room at around 10 p.m.They had dinner together – fish and ugali – before the man entered the bathroom and came out a few minutes later Opiyo then told Mwende to go to bed but the woman asked to take a shower first.

 

 

“While taking a bath, Mwende heard the man groaning. She came out of the bathroom and saw that the man had taken off his clothes and was having trouble breathing,” the report said.

 

It is at this point that Mwende alerted the Night Guard. A used and unused condom was recovered. A pack of viagra was also recovered in the bathroom,” the report said.

 

The body was taken to the morgue of Muran’ga Teaching and Referral Hospital, awaiting postmortem. The matter is currently being investigated by police officers attached to the Maragua Police Station in Murang’a County.
