The Cabinet Secretary for Education Professor George Magoha has finally responded on the issue of postponing the March 2022 National Examinations.




Speaking to the Media the Cabinet Secretary has ruled out any possibilities of Postponing the National exams irrespective of the challenges in the education calendar which is occasioned by regular interruptions school Calendar.



Magoha went ahead to assure the learners they should now worry as the test will take into consideration of these challenges faced. The school are now closing for the second term on 23rd of December 2021, for a period of two weeks before resuming for third term on 4th of January 2022.

The term will then run for ten weeks after which the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education and the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education will commence.


The education calendar was affected by the Covid-19 where learners stayed home for close to one year. But with the new calendar, normalcy is likely to resume as from 2023.
