Central organization trade union secretary general Francis Atwoli has once again asked the government to bring on board all key players and have an honest, inclusive and serious conversation about the kind of education system that the country needs.
Atwoli further insisted on the need of going back to the old system of education in a move that will end the newly introduced competency based curriculum in schools.
“The government MUST bring on board all key players and have an honest, inclusive and candid conversation about the kind of education system that we need…whether or not we should go back to 8-4-4 and what should to be done to avert a catastrophe in the sector” central organization trade union secretary general Francis Atwoli tweeteted
Law society of Kenya president Nelson Havi filled a petition in court to challenge the new competency based curriculum.
In his argument,Havi stated that there was no public participation as required by the constitution and the government did not involve education stakeholders in implementing the curriculum.
