Kenyans are safe in UDA, laikipia women rep affirms
Laikipia Women’s Representative cate Waiguru has announced her return to the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) camp of Vice President William Ruto.
Waiguru announced to join the UDA party in Nanyuki on Saturday, apologized to the Vice President for leaving the party and expressed regret over his negative comments on the ‘hustler movement’ in the past.
“The question is not about the party; The question is, in whose hands is Kenya safe? He posed.
Waiguru defected from the UDA and joined hands with Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Odinga in June 2020, for which he was credited with driving out national unity. She vowed to support President Kenyatta to ensure that the people of Laikipia benefit from the projects initiated by the state.
Her Saturday turn came just days after William Ruto posted a photo with colleagues Aisha Zjumwa and Susan Kihika.
Addressing residents in Laikipia, Waruguru said that his move to join the UDA came after extensive consultations with his constituents.
He welcomed Kalonzo Musioka’s latest comments that he was open to talks with DP and welcomed him to join the ‘Hustler Movement’.
“Watu wa generation hii tunaishi are fof the age of 18 to the age of 45 … their intention and their purpose and what they pray forb in this kenya is that wapate kazi … masomo … affordable housing. We are just the same The thing is asking for revolution,” she said.
