*Primary School Teachers In Jubilation As Plans Of Being Awarded A Salary Increment Have Been Rolled Out Officially Today*

Primary school teachers have reasons to smile as new details about their salary increment surface.

 

 

 

According to reliable sources, the lowest primary school teacher will earn sh. 27000 from the current sh. 21000.

 

 

 

Details about presidential speech indicate that 70 billion shillings have been set a side for teachers’ salary increament and hiring of teachers.

The Teachers Service Commission boss Dr. Nancy Macharia says that the president has taken this move to please teachers who are unhappy with their current salaries.

 

 

 

In the 2021-2025 Collective Bargaining Agreement, teachers have been allocated monetary benefits as compared to non-monetary CBA which was signed by KNUT Secretary General.

Teachers are expected to start receiving their salary increment any time from this month.

 

 

 

Teachers’unions such as Kenya National Union of Teachers, Kenya Union of Post-Primary Education Teachers pushed for salary increment and had a fruitful outcome.

Secondary school teachers have also been allocated a salary increment but their counterparts in primary section have been allocated a large share.
