The third week of term one 2021 is on.The schools are set for another week of tedious work in terms of Covid-19 preparedness and the rush to cover the syllabus on time.
This year,the teachers will be in schools for only 30 weeks instead of the usual 39 weeks.
Last week,the teachers had some hectic time due to the admissions of form one students.The admissions came with different challenges.Some students reported in schools without school fees.
At the same time,some schools such as Lodwar Boys and Girls secondary schools sent away the students who failed to pay a half of the school fees.
Schools have already received the capitation fees that will facilitate the learning in schools.The schools do receive different amount of money.
However,some schools receive huge sums of money that can be tempting under their management.
A school such as Maseno school received Ksh 5 million last week for infrastructural development and purchase of learning materials.
