The number of alumni who have secured employment, published research projects, the quality of its learning facilities and other assets, student population, regional and global reputation, and other factors all contribute to the University ranking in Kenya.

There are 30 public universities, 30 chartered private universities, and 30 universities with Letters of Interim Authority in the country (LIA).

Every year, tens of thousands of students apply to these institutes. As a result, according to the UNESCO report, Kenya’s adult literacy rate is 81.53 percent, with males having a rate of 84.99 percent and females having a rate of 78.19 percent.

The majority of Kenyan academics prefer institutions that are at the top of global and national rankings. As a result, this creates a competitive environment in which universities that finish first in one year are not guaranteed to finish first in the next.

The following are the top institutions in Kenya, according to 4ICU.org’s most recent university ranking.
