TSC, Official listed Penalties for teachers who will fail to update their profile released

Teacher service commission(TSC) have said that all teachers who will fail to update their profile will suffer punishments from the commission.


All teachers are supposed to  update their profiles by 30th November 2021 to help the commission to maintain a valid register of teachers, the TSC director of Quality Assurance and Standards DR. Mugwuku Nthamburi said.


In the circular sent to all TSC and Regional and County Directors dated July 28 2021, the commission has opened an online register to allow individual teachers update their details correctly. A link that that will enable teachers update their profile has been provided in the TSC website where all teachers can access and update their profile before the deadline day.

After successful updating of the profile, the teachers will be issued with a certificate of registration.



According to this report, this will mean that teachers who will fail in this exercise will not receive a certificate of registration from the commission that will be useful in the TSC exercise of Biometric teachers registration.



Due to lack of enough details related to teachers in TSC database, quality services offered to teachers will be affected negatively too. In addition show cause letters will be issued to the teacher who will fail in adhering to TSC policies and instructions leading to loss of jobs.



The registration certificate will be sent to the postal address that every teacher will provide during the period of  updating the profile.

After clicking on the a window will be opened where you will be required to enter your ID/PASSPORT number, TSC number, surname and a valid phone number in the format 07xxxxxxxxxxxxxx.

Once you click NEXT a four digit verification code will be sent to your phone  which you will enter and click verify to  proceed with profile updating process.



After verifying the code, a new window will be opened  where you will  be required to fill in the missing details correctly. Ensure that the following are captured correctly; first name, surname, and other names, KRA pin, religion, date of birth, gender, mobile number, nationality, home county, home sub-county, division, zone, constituency, impairment type, permanent postal address, current postal address and town.


After ensuring that all the required details are captured correctly, click NEXT to proceed to the next step which you will be required to upload the following documents in pdf form. Also you will ensure that the size of the documents to be uploaded do not exceed 1Mb.

ID/Passport, KRA PIN certificate, passport photo, KCPE certificate, KCSE certificate, PTE, Diploma or Degree certificates and an Affidavit incase their is mismatch in your names.


On top of the above documents, you will be required to key in the primary, secondary and the the Tertiary institutions  you attended, the year you joined the year left, the certificates awarded, the certificate number and the year the certificates were awarded.
